Akhilesh Yadav Blames BJP for Hathras Stampede Tragedy

Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has criticized the BJP-led Uttar Pradesh government for the tragic stampede in Hathras, which has claimed 121 lives and injured 35 people. Yadav stated that the government is responsible for the incident due to negligence and lack of proper treatment for the injured.

Yadav said, “It is a very painful incident. We are saddened by this incident. The Uttar Pradesh government and administration are fully responsible for this incident. The loss of lives in this incident is due to the negligence of the government.”

He also mentioned that some injured persons died due to the unavailability of proper treatment and called for standard operating procedures (SOPs) for large gatherings to prevent such incidents in the future.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Hathras to meet the victims and their families. He also held discussions with officials to assess the situation. An FIR has been registered against Devprakash Madhukar, the main organizer of the ‘Satsang’ event where the stampede occurred.

The police are conducting a search operation at Ram Kutir Charitable Trust in Mainpuri district to find Narayan Saakar Hari, also known as Bhole Baba, the preacher of the ‘Satsang’. However, he remains untraceable.

Uttar Pradesh Minister Sandeep Singh has assured that strict actions will be taken against those responsible for the tragedy. He said, “Till now 121 people have died in the incident…The injured are being treated. Strict action will be taken against those found responsible for the incident. This is not a small incident.”
