Akhilesh Yadav Accuses BJP of Politicizing Ayodhya Rape Case

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 5: Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of politicizing the Ayodhya rape incident. He stated that the BJP aims to defame socialists and has an undemocratic mentality towards Muslims.

Yadav defended his call for DNA tests of the accused, citing a 2023 law that mandates DNA tests for crimes with punishments over seven years. He criticized Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, claiming the BJP defamed his party in other incidents, including Hathras and Gomti Nagar.

SP MP Awadhesh Prasad demanded harsh punishment for the accused and security for the victim’s family. He also called for a high-level committee to investigate the incident.

Earlier, Yadav urged the court to ensure the victim’s safety and best medical care. Two men, Moid Khan and Raju Khan, were arrested for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl in Ayodhya. The Ayodhya administration demolished Moid Khan’s bakery following the incident.
