Ajit Pawar Announces Progress in Maharashtra Election Seat Sharing
Mumbai, Maharashtra – Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has announced that discussions on seat sharing for the upcoming Maharashtra elections are almost complete, with only 11 out of 288 seats left to finalize. Pawar mentioned that extensive discussions took place in Delhi, and senior leader Praful Patel is continuing talks.
Pawar urged the media to verify information before publishing, emphasizing that decisions are still being made. He stated, “Until we say something, don’t conclude that someone has been given a ticket and another ignored.”
NCP’s Second List of Candidates
The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has released its second list of candidates for the state Assembly elections. Sana Malik, daughter of NCP leader Nawab Malik, will contest from Anushakti Nagar, while Zeeshan Siddiqui will run from Bandra East. Siddiqui expressed gratitude to Ajit Pawar and other leaders for their support.
Former BJP leaders Nishikant Patil and Sanjaykaka Ramchandra Patil have joined the NCP and will contest from Islampur and Tasgaon-Kavathe Mahankal, respectively. Other candidates include Sunil Tingre for Vadgaon Sheri, Dnyaneshwar Katke for Shirur, and Pratap Patil Chikhlikar for Iron.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are set for November 20, with results to be announced on November 23. In previous elections, the BJP and Shiv Sena were prominent winners.
