In Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh, the Special Task Force (STF) and local police arrested Ajay Yadav, a wanted criminal, after an encounter on Friday. Yadav was involved in a major jewellery shop robbery at Bharat Jewellers.

Details of the Encounter

Superintendent of Police Somen Verma stated that the police received information about Yadav’s whereabouts and planned an encounter. During the operation, a police officer was injured, and Yadav was shot in the leg.

Robbery Incident

Ajay Yadav, also known as DM, was part of a group that looted gold and silver jewellery from Bharat Jewellers. The police have arrested nine people so far and recovered all stolen items. Four suspects are still at large.

Yadav has been taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
