The Election Commission has also announced the schedule for the upcoming assembly elections in Jharkhand and Maharashtra. Jharkhand’s elections will take place in two phases on November 13 and November 20, with vote counting set for November 23.

In the 2019 Assembly elections, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), which includes the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, Congress, and Rashtriya Janata Dal, won 47 out of 81 seats, defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), which secured 25 seats.
