AIUDF’s Rafiqul Islam Condemns Attack on Hindu Temple in Canada

In Kamrup, Assam, AIUDF MLA and Party General Secretary Rafiqul Islam expressed strong disapproval of the attack on a Hindu temple in Canada. He urged the Canadian government to impose severe punishments on those responsible to prevent future incidents. Islam emphasized the need for the Indian government to engage with Canada to stop such attacks.

Meanwhile, the BJP criticized the Congress party for its silence on the issue, accusing them of prioritizing vote bank politics. BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala highlighted the Congress’s vocal support for other international issues while remaining silent on attacks against Hindus in Canada and Bangladesh.

Recently, a violent disruption occurred at an Indian consular camp at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, near Toronto. This incident has heightened concerns among the Hindu-Canadian community, leading to protests.
