Airports Authority of India Celebrates Vigilance Awareness Week 2024
The Airports Authority of India (AAI) observed Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 from October 28 to November 3, with the theme “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity.” The event took place across all AAI airports and establishments.
Integrity Pledge Ceremony
On October 28, H Srinivas, Member (HR), led the Integrity Pledge at AAI Corporate Headquarters in New Delhi. He highlighted the importance of vigilance for the organization’s success and encouraged employees to engage sincerely in the week’s activities. Nikhil Kumar Kanodia, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), and other board members, including Sharad Kumar, Pankaj Malhotra, and Anil Kumar Gupta, attended the event.
Focus on Preventive Vigilance
Kanodia discussed the Vigilance Directorate’s recent efforts in preventive vigilance, focusing on five key areas as directed by the Central Vigilance Commission. He urged employees to join the fight against corruption to fulfill the commission’s goals.
Activities and Engagement
Throughout the week, AAI organized various activities such as elocution, debates, essays, quizzes, drawing competitions, walkathons, and Gram Sabhas. These events aimed to raise awareness about vigilance and the dangers of corruption among citizens and employees. Integrity pledge counters were also set up at airports for stakeholders to take the pledge.
