Sunny Guglani Announces New Assembly Line

Airbus, a European aerospace company, will launch its first assembly line for the single-engine H125 helicopter in India. Sunny Guglani, head of Airbus Helicopters for India and South Asia, shared that the first ‘Made-in-India’ H125 helicopter is expected to roll out by 2026.

Partnership with Tata Group

In January, Airbus announced its partnership with Tata Group to establish this Final Assembly Line (FAL) in India. The FAL will produce the H125 helicopter, which is known for its performance in high-altitude environments and is used in various segments such as commercial air transportation, corporate missions, and aerial work.

Benefits of the H125 Helicopter

Guglani highlighted that the H125 is a versatile helicopter, already popular in India and Nepal with over 60 units in operation. The new assembly line will bring financial benefits to local customers by eliminating the need for imports and allowing payments in Indian rupees.

Supporting ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’

This initiative aligns with the Government of India’s ‘AatmaNirbhar Bharat’ (self-reliant India) program. The FAL will act as a catalyst for the Indian market, providing value and benefits to the masses by making helicopters more accessible and affordable.
