Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Discuss ‘Tarang Shakti 2024’ in Jodhpur

Jodhpur (Rajasthan) [India], September 13: Addressing a press conference, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari announced plans to formalize exercises like ‘Tarang Shakti’ to improve data sharing with friendly nations. He emphasized the need for a common data link to enhance interoperability with other air forces.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attended the ‘Tarang Shakti 2024’ exercise and highlighted India’s progress in self-reliance in the defence sector. He noted significant strides in indigenizing the manufacture of weapons, platforms, and aircraft, including Light Combat Aircraft, sensors, radars, and electronic warfare systems.

‘Tarang Shakti’ is organized in two phases, with the first phase in Sulur and the second in Jodhpur. The exercise allows participating countries to learn from each other’s diverse work cultures, air combat experiences, and warfighting principles.

The event also featured displays of the Surya Kiran aircraft and Tarang helicopters of the Indian Air Force, showcasing India’s growing military capabilities.
