AIMIM Mumbai President Raiees Lashkaria Prepares for Maharashtra Elections
The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has appointed observers for 18 assembly seats in Mumbai, with plans to expand to 24 seats. AIMIM Mumbai President Raiees Lashkaria announced that the party aims to ally with Maha Vikas Aghadi to challenge the ruling Mahayuti alliance in the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Lashkaria highlighted the significant role of Muslim voters in elections, noting their active participation in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections to protect the Constitution and the country. He believes Muslim voters will similarly influence the Maharashtra Assembly elections.
Additionally, Lashkaria introduced a new initiative to help those facing injustice. The team, comprising doctors, advocates, and retired police officers, aims to provide immediate relief to those in need. A helpline number will be released soon to support this initiative.
The Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections, involving 288 members, are scheduled for later this year, although the Election Commission of India has yet to announce the dates.
