AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi Demands Action Against Yati Narsinghanand
In Hyderabad, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, along with other MLAs, met with Hyderabad Commissioner CV Anand to submit a request for legal action against Yati Narsinghanand. Owaisi accused Narsinghanand, a priest from Dasna, Ghaziabad, of making derogatory remarks against Prophet Muhammad in a video. Owaisi demanded Narsinghanand’s arrest and the removal of the offensive content from social media, questioning the lack of condemnation from the BJP.
Owaisi also mentioned another video by a friend of Narsinghanand, which suggested burning an effigy of the Prophet, claiming these actions aim to create unrest in the country. He urged PM Modi and Yogi Adityanath to take action, emphasizing the hurt caused to 19 crore Muslims in India.
Several complaints were filed against Narsinghanand in Hyderabad. Madannapet CI Srinivas stated that the incident occurred in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, and multiple petitions were filed at various police stations. Falaknuma ACP Yadgiri and Nampally CI Appala Naidu confirmed receiving complaints, with the latter noting a complaint from TPCC Secretary Rashed Khan about comments suggesting burning Prophet Muhammad instead of Ravana.
