AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey Plans Big Changes for I-League

New Delhi [India], August 12: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is set to enhance the upcoming I-League season with better broadcast quality and optimized fixtures. AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey announced these plans during a two-hour meeting with I-League club owners.

Broadcast Enhancements

The AIFF promises up to 8 high-definition cameras for game broadcasts, provided clubs meet infrastructure standards. These include international pitch quality and 1800 lux floodlights.

Optimized Fixtures

The AIFF aims to schedule games during prime time and will mark certain games as marquee events for marketing. Clubs unable to meet the standards will receive a minimum of two to six camera kits.

Task Force and Future Plans

A task force with representatives from I-League clubs will work on marketing, promotion, and refereeing. The next review meeting is set for August 26, 2024.
