In New Delhi, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) have signed an important agreement. This agreement aims to prepare a skilled workforce for the Defence and Aerospace sectors. The signing took place with AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam and SIDM President Rajinder Singh Bhatia, witnessed by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Focus on Education and Training

The partnership will focus on developing faculty and students through special programs. These programs are designed to enhance skills and promote growth in Defence and Aerospace education. Students will also have opportunities for internships in the Defence sector, gaining valuable experience.

Research and Innovation

AICTE and SIDM will collaborate on research projects to tackle current and future challenges in the Defence industry. They will also organize awareness programs on new technologies to help academic institutions understand these fields better.

Future Plans

New educational programs in Defence and Aerospace will be introduced in AICTE-affiliated institutions. This agreement, valid for three years, will ensure the Defence industry has access to skilled graduates.
