Ahmedabad Crime Branch Arrests Bharat Chhabra for Scamming People
Ahmedabad Crime Branch has arrested Bharat Chhabra, a resident of Karnal, Haryana, for scamming people by falsely claiming to be a high-ranking official of a Central agency, according to officials.
Details of the Arrest
The Crime Branch officials revealed that three FIRs had been registered against Chhabra based on complaints from three individuals. The first complaint came from a manager of a private hotel in Ahmedabad. The manager reported that Chhabra stayed at the hotel multiple times without paying, claiming he was a higher official of a Central agency and had connections with politicians and officials.
After this happened two or three times, the hotel manager reported him to the Crime Branch. Two other individuals also filed complaints, stating that Chhabra had duped them out of money by hiding his true identity.
