Ahmed Mir Hashim Khoori Discusses Peace and Security at IPU Assembly in Geneva
Geneva, Switzerland – Ahmed Mir Hashim Khoori, a member of the Federal National Council Parliamentary Division Group from the UAE, participated in the 149th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Assembly. During the meeting of the Standing Committee on Peace and International Security, Khoori spoke on behalf of the UAE parliamentary division.
Khoori addressed the committee’s upcoming resolution on the role of parliaments in promoting a two-state solution in Palestine. The UAE delegation emphasized the importance of ensuring the resolution is neutral, balanced, and agreeable to all member parliaments to facilitate its adoption.

Furthermore, the UAE delegation stressed the importance of including current regional political developments and longstanding principles related to the Palestinian cause in the resolution. They called for ongoing regional and international efforts to revitalize the peace process in the Middle East.
