AGP President and Assam Agriculture Minister Atul Bora announced a significant executive meeting of the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on July 24 in Guwahati, Assam. The meeting will focus on the upcoming bye-elections in five assembly constituencies and Panchayat elections.

Bora expressed confidence that the NDA, which includes AGP, will win all five seats. He also reaffirmed AGP’s long-standing alliance with the BJP, dating back to 1998-99.

Bye-elections are set to take place in five legislative assemblies and two Rajya Sabha seats in Assam. In the last Lok Sabha Elections, the BJP won nine seats, Congress won three, and BJP’s allies AGP and UPPL won one each out of the total 14 seats in Assam.
