Guwahati (Assam) [India], August 16: Ravi Gandhi, Additional Director General (ADG) of the BSF Eastern Command in Kolkata, visited the Indo-Bangladesh border to review security measures. During his four-day visit, he assessed the operational preparedness and current security situation along the border.

On the first day, ADG Ravi Gandhi was briefed by Shri Makrand Deouskar, Inspector General (IG) of the Guwahati Frontier, and senior staff officers. ADG Ravi Gandhi visited various Border Out Posts (BOPs) under Sector HQ Gopalpur. He interacted with field commanders, reviewed the border domination plan, and assessed the operational readiness to counter threats. He emphasized maintaining peace and safety for local populations while keeping the border crime-free.
