Adani Green Energy, a part of the Adani Group, has reported a significant increase in its financial performance for the July-September quarter. The company’s cash profit rose by 21% to Rs 1,249 crore compared to Rs 1,030 crore in the same period last year. For the combined April-June and July-September quarters, the cash profit increased by 27% to Rs 2,640 crore.

The company’s revenue from power supply also saw a rise, with a 16% increase to Rs 2,309 crore in the September quarter. For the combined quarters, the revenue rose by 20% to Rs 4,836 crore. This growth is attributed to the addition of 2,868 MW of greenfield capacity and consistent plant performance.

CEO’s Statement

Amit Singh, CEO of Adani Green Energy Ltd., highlighted the company’s strong financial performance driven by capacity additions and operational efficiency. He mentioned the company’s entry into the commercial and industrial power space and plans to expand its exposure to 15% by 2030. Singh also emphasized the company’s commitment to sustainability and governance practices.

Future Plans

Adani Green Energy is developing a massive 30 GW renewable energy plant at Khavda in Gujarat, expected to set a global benchmark. The company has already operationalized 2 GW of solar capacity and 250 MW of wind capacity. With a workforce of over 9,000 people, the entire 30 GW capacity is set to be developed by 2029.

Currently, Adani Green Energy has an operating renewable portfolio of 11.2 GW, the largest in India, and aims to achieve 50 GW by 2030, aligning with India’s decarbonization goals.
