Actor Vijay’s Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam to Hold First State Conference on October 27
Actor-turned-politician Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam, will hold its first state-level conference on October 27 at Vikravandi V Salai village in Villupuram district, Tamil Nadu. Vijay announced that he will reveal the party’s leaders, ideology, policies, and roadmap during the event.
In a statement, Vijay said, “With the affection and support of Tamil Nadu people, our victorious political journey is being extended. To reveal our political ideology leaders, to reveal our party ideology and policies and to announce our party roadmap, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam first political state conference to be held on October 27 at V Salai Village, Vikravandi, Villupuram District.”
The Election Commission of India officially registered Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam as a political party on September 8, allowing it to participate in electoral politics. Vijay shared this news on X, stating, “The Election Commission of India officially registers Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam as a political party and grants permission to participate in electoral politics as a registered party.”
Vijay unveiled the party’s flag and symbol on August 22, emphasizing the principle of equality for all living beings and the development of Tamil Nadu. He joined politics and announced his party in February this year, ahead of the Assembly elections likely to be held in 2026.
