Abu Dhabi Hosts Relief Aid Event for Lebanon
Abu Dhabi is set to host a second event to gather relief aid for Lebanon on Tuesday, October 22. The event will take place in Hall No. 1 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. This initiative is part of the “UAE stands with Lebanon” campaign, directed by Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC).
The campaign, which began on October 8, was launched under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, with support from Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE, and Sheikh Theyab bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs.
Dr. Hamdan bin Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ERC, highlighted the UAE’s leading role in global humanitarian efforts, emphasizing the country’s swift response to disasters and conflicts. He noted that the UAE’s humanitarian work is inspired by the legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. The nationwide aid campaign aims to involve the entire UAE community, including individuals, institutions, and both public and private sector organizations, in supporting Lebanon.
