Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Meets PM Modi in New Delhi
New Delhi, India – On September 9, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. The two leaders greeted each other warmly and held a meeting to discuss various matters.
Sheikh Khaled arrived in New Delhi on September 8 for his first official visit to India. He was received by Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal, and given a ceremonial welcome. The Ministry of External Affairs highlighted the significance of this visit, noting the strong and historic relationship between India and the UAE.
During his visit, Sheikh Khaled is scheduled to meet President Droupadi Murmu and visit Rajghat to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. On September 10, he will travel to Mumbai to participate in a Business Forum with business leaders from both countries.
Earlier this year, PM Modi visited the UAE and met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. They discussed the India-UAE bilateral relationship and signed eight agreements, including one for the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEEC). PM Modi also inaugurated the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi and addressed the Indian diaspora.
The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the Crown Prince’s visit will further strengthen the India-UAE bilateral relations and open new avenues for partnership in various areas such as trade, investment, energy, technology, and culture.
