Abu Azmi Warns MVA Over Seat Sharing in Maharashtra Elections

In Mumbai, Maharashtra, the Samajwadi Party’s Maharashtra Chief, Abu Azmi, has issued a warning to the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) regarding seat sharing for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly Elections. Azmi stated that if the Samajwadi Party is not allocated five seats, they will announce candidates for 25 seats. The MVA alliance includes the Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).

Azmi emphasized the importance of avoiding vote division and internal differences within the alliance. He mentioned that discussions on seat allocation should have been completed earlier. Azmi also noted that Sharad Pawar promised to provide guidance soon.

Meanwhile, Congress general secretary KC Venugopal acknowledged differences within the alliance but expressed confidence that the MVA will resolve them and succeed in the elections. He highlighted the common goal of restoring Maharashtra’s former glory.

The Maharashtra Assembly elections are set for November 20, with results to be announced on November 23. In previous elections, the BJP and Shiv Sena were the major winners.
