Indian Team Arrives in Durban for T20I Series
Indian cricketer Abhishek Sharma recently arrived in Durban, South Africa, for the upcoming T20I series against the Proteas. As he stepped onto the Kingsmead Cricket Stadium, he fondly recalled the iconic moment when former Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh hit six sixes in an over during the ICC T20 World Cup 2007 against England. Yuvraj’s remarkable feat made him the first international player to achieve this in T20Is and the first Indian to do so in international cricket.
Abhishek expressed his excitement, saying, “I’ve come here for the first time, and it’s a dream come true. I was inspired by Yuvraj Singh’s six-sixes during the T20 World Cup 2007. On my Day 1 here, I was trying to figure out where he hit from which end.” He added that he hopes Yuvraj will watch him play and that he aims to make him proud.
Upcoming Matches
The four-match T20I series between India and South Africa will begin on November 8 at Kingsmead Cricket Stadium in Durban. The second match will be held at St George’s Park in Port Elizabeth on November 10, followed by the third at SuperSport Park in Centurion on November 13. The final game will take place at Wanderers Stadium on November 15.
