New Delhi, India – Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Saurabh Bhardwaj has accused the central government of “hooliganism” and described the money laundering case against fellow AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan as “rotten.” Bhardwaj stated that the central government is openly misusing agencies against its political rivals.

Bhardwaj mentioned that Amanatullah Khan was granted bail by the court in the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) case, which had no allegations of job appointments based on money transactions. He criticized the involvement of multiple agencies, including the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in the same case, calling it a misuse of power.

Earlier, Amanatullah Khan claimed that ED officials arrived at his house in Okhla to arrest him. BJP National Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari defended the raids, stating that actions against corrupt individuals will continue as per the law and Supreme Court’s instructions.

In April, the Rouse Avenue Court granted bail to Khan in connection with the ED’s complaint for not attending summons in the Delhi Waqf Board money laundering case. The ED alleged that Khan illegally leased Waqf properties worth Rs 100 crore and appointed 32 contractual employees against the rules during his chairmanship.
