Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Durgesh Pathak has been granted bail by the Delhi Court in the Delhi Excise Policy Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case. Pathak alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attempting to dismantle the AAP through false cases.

Pathak’s Statement

Pathak stated, “We have been seeing this drama for the last two to three years that PM wants to finish AAP through false cases. But all of this is getting exposed slowly. Everyone is being granted bail and they are coming out of jail.” He added that no agency has substantive proof to build a case against them.

Court Proceedings

Earlier today, the Rouse Avenue court granted bail to Pathak and others involved in the case. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was summoned via video conferencing from Tihar jail, and his judicial custody was extended till September 25. Special judge Kaveri Baweja granted bail to Pathak on furnishing a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh, and other accused also furnished their bail bonds.

Chargesheet Details

The CBI had filed a supplementary chargesheet against Arvind Kejriwal, Durgesh Pathak, Amit Arora, Sharath Chandra Reddy, Ashish Mathur, and Vinod Chauhan. Pathak and other chargesheeted accused appeared before the court on summons issued by the Rouse Avenue court.
