AAP Criticizes BJP for Seeking President’s Rule in Delhi

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for seeking President’s rule in the national capital. In a statement, AAP accused BJP of trying to undermine democratic processes by requesting the dismissal of the Delhi government, suggesting that BJP has conceded defeat in the upcoming Delhi assembly elections.

Earlier, a delegation led by Leader of Opposition Vijender Gupta appealed to President Droupadi Murmu for intervention in what they described as a constitutional crisis in Delhi. AAP’s statement alleged that BJP has no regard for the Constitution and has repeatedly attacked it. The statement mentioned that BJP attempts to run parallel governments in states where it can’t win elections, citing examples like Punjab, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu.

AAP also criticized BJP’s failed ‘Operation Lotus,’ which aimed to buy legislators to sway elections, and accused BJP of incarcerating top AAP leaders, including Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Sanjay Singh.

Furthermore, AAP criticized Delhi Lieutenant Governor LG Saxena for allegedly obstructing government work and undermining the federal structure. The party called for the dismissal of the Lieutenant Governor, accusing him of engaging in negative politics while holding a constitutional office.
