West Bengal BJP Chief Sukanta Majumdar Demands Mamata Banerjee’s Resignation

West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar has called for the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. In a self-made video, Majumdar stated that his party will continue its fight to fulfill the public’s demand.

Majumdar said, “The people of Bengal have lost faith in the Chief Minister, which is why BJP is demanding that Mamata Banerjee resign. She herself had said that if the public wants, she will resign, so BJP will continue its fight for the public’s demand that Mamata Banerjee should resign.”

Majumdar added, “Mamata Banerjee has accepted some demands. Earlier she was saying that she will not be removing the CP. The people of Bengal were demanding that action be taken…losing to the people of Bengal, the Chief Minister accepted some demands. BJP knows that this is a systematic failure and if the responsibility for this goes to anyone, then it is neither a police officer nor anyone else, the main accused is Mamata Banerjee.”

This statement comes after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee announced that she has agreed to the demands of protesting doctors, including the removal of Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal and Deputy Commissioner North Abhishek Gupta. Banerjee said that Vineet Goyal would hand over the responsibility to the new CP at 4 pm on Tuesday. She added that her government has decided to accept the demands laid down by junior doctors.

Banerjee said, “We tried listening to junior doctors…we have decided to change the DC (Kolkata Police Commissioner)…he agreed to resign himself…in the health department, they demanded the removal of 3 persons and we agreed for 2. We have agreed 99%, what else can we do? We have requested the junior doctors to come back to work so that the common citizens won’t suffer…”

She added, “We have accepted 3 of their 4 demands… DC North (Abhishek Gupta) will also be removed and a decision will be taken about the new DC tomorrow. Apart from this, full attention will also be paid to the security of the doctors…”
