On Monday, an explosion in a residential building in Ravulacheruvu, Amalapuram town, Ambedkar Konaseema district, Andhra Pradesh, left 14 people severely injured. The building was being used to manufacture firecrackers without authorization.

The two-story building suffered significant damage. All the injured were rushed to the Amalapuram Area Hospital, with one person in critical condition.

Local MLA Aythabattula Ananda Rao and Amalapuram Town Police officials visited the explosion site to assess the situation. The cause of the explosion is still unknown, and an investigation is underway.
