Novotel Visakhapatnam and Urzza Charge Tech Team Up to Boost EV Charging in Andhra Pradesh
Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach has partnered with Urzza Charge Tech, a Visakhapatnam-based company, to enhance electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure across Andhra Pradesh. This collaboration aims to revolutionize the EV charging landscape by providing high-quality, user-friendly EV charging solutions for all types of electric vehicles. The partnership is expected to accelerate the transition towards a greener and more sustainable future.
To mark the beginning of this initiative, Vizag MP M Sribharat inaugurated an EV charging station at INOX Vizag. The event included a session to discuss the EV landscape, attended by various EV makers and users from across Andhra Pradesh. Sushil Reddy, who holds two Guinness World Records for the longest electric bicycle journey and is currently on a 60-day, over 8,000 km journey across southern India to raise awareness about sustainable mobility, also participated in the event.
During a panel meeting, Sushil Reddy discussed various challenges faced during the transition to the EV ecosystem, such as range anxiety, supply chain issues, cost affordability, and battery issues. Industry experts offered solutions, noting that EV companies may soon offer battery as a service. They also highlighted that even without renewable energy, EVs are more efficient than internal combustion engine-based vehicles.
Haresh Bharadwaj, co-founder of Urzza Charge Tech, mentioned that the company is expanding its services across India, with a current presence in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. He emphasized that electric vehicles are not just for cities but can be used for long drives as well.
