BJP Criticizes Arvind Kejriwal’s Resignation Announcement as ‘Drama’
New Delhi, India – The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has criticized Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s announcement of his resignation, calling it a “drama” and accusing him of seeking sympathy through political maneuvers.
Shazia Ilmi’s Statement
BJP leader Shazia Ilmi stated in a video that Kejriwal should have resigned long ago, especially during the five months he was in jail. She accused him of using the resignation talk to gain sympathy and said that the people of Delhi have understood his tactics.

BJP leader Harish Khurana questioned why Kejriwal did not resign during his six-month jail term. He called the resignation announcement a “drama” and pointed out that Kejriwal is still on trial and not acquitted.

AAP’s National Spokesperson Priyanka Kakkar supported Kejriwal’s decision, stating that he has set a new benchmark of honesty. She mentioned that Kejriwal will only sit on the Chief Minister’s chair if the people of Delhi elect him again.
Kejriwal’s Announcement
Arvind Kejriwal announced that he would resign from his position as Chief Minister after two days and would not return to the post until the public declares him honest. He also called for early elections to be held along with Maharashtra’s elections in November.
