Prime Minister Modi Flags Off Vande Bharat Express: School Students Enjoy Free Ride
On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Brahmapur-Tata Nagar Vande Bharat Express, marking its inaugural run. The event was special for 150 students from the East Coast Railway Mixed Higher Secondary School in Khurda, who were given a free ride to Khurda Junction.
Students’ Excitement
Priyanka Sahoo, a Class 10 student, shared her excitement, saying, “I am feeling very nice about travelling in the Vande Bharat train. The Prime Minister will be inaugurating the train. Everything is clean on the train, there are cameras and food service. We are excited.”
Another student praised the cleanliness and improved services, including safety features and clean washrooms. “I am very happy that I have got the chance to travel in this train. I have travelled in Vande Bharat trains before, and I am really happy I got the chance to come here with my friends. The services in the trains have improved significantly including the safety, automated doors and clean washrooms. The country is developing at a good rate,” the student said.
Enhanced Connectivity
Earlier in the day, PM Modi virtually flagged off the trains from Tatanagar in Jharkhand. These new Vande Bharat Express trains will improve connectivity on routes including Tatanagar – Patna, Bhagalpur – Dumka – Howrah, Brahmapur – Tatanagar, Gaya – Howrah, Deoghar – Varanasi, and Rourkela – Howrah. The introduction of these trains will benefit regular travelers, professionals, business people, and students.
