Lord Ganesha Idol Decorated with Rs 1.10 Crore in Telangana for Ganesh Chaturthi
In Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana, a unique Ganesh idol decorated with Rs 1.10 crore in currency notes is on display at the Ambedkar Centre. Organized by the Kapu community, this special decoration has been attracting many devotees.
Organizer NP Naidu shared, “We have been setting up the Ganesh idol here for the past 28 years. This year, we’ve decorated Lord Ganesh with Rs 1.10 crore in notes. We’re thrilled to see so many people coming here and receiving the blessings of Lord Ganesh.”
A devotee named Krishna mentioned, “I have never seen anything like this anywhere. The Ganesh idol, decorated with Rs 1.10 crore in notes by the Kapu community, is truly unique. I don’t think anyone else in Telangana has done something like this. This (Ganesh idol) is mesmerizing.”
Another devotee expressed her delight, “All our family has come to see the decoration of Ganesh Ji at the Ambedkar Centre. We are delighted to see this decoration.”
Ganesh Chaturthi, a 10-day festival, will continue until Anantha Chaturdashi. This festival is also known as Vinayak Chaturthi or Vinayak Chavithi. During Ganesh Chaturthi, Lord Ganesha is worshipped as the god of new beginnings and the remover of obstacles. Devotees across India and abroad celebrate Lord Ganesha’s wisdom and intelligence. Homes and pandals are adorned with elaborate decorations, and the air is filled with prayers, music, and festive chants. The streets come alive with vibrant processions and traditional rituals as people prepare delicious offerings and visit the beautifully decorated pandals.
