Ruturaj Gaikwad Injured in Duleep Trophy Match Against India B
Anantapur (Andhra Pradesh) [India], September 12: In a Duleep Trophy 2024 match at the Rural Development Trust Stadium B, India C captain Ruturaj Gaikwad retired hurt after facing just two balls. Gaikwad hit a four on the first ball but twisted his ankle on the next delivery and had to leave the field.
India B won the toss and chose to bowl first, putting India C in a tough spot early. Despite losing their captain, India C recovered with a solid partnership between Sai Sudharsan and Rajat Patidar. Sudharsan scored 43 runs off 75 balls, while Patidar added 40 runs from 67 balls. Together, they shared a crucial 92-run stand for the second wicket.
After their partnership, both batters were dismissed quickly, leaving Ishan Kishan and Baba Indrajith to rebuild the innings.
