Rajasthan CM Bhajan Lal Sharma Visits Seoul Technical High School

Seoul [South Korea], September 10: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma visited Seoul Technical High School in South Korea on Tuesday. During his visit, he interacted with the school officials and observed their excellent educational system, which focuses on skill development.

On his second day in South Korea, CM Sharma had a cordial meeting with the school management and students, inviting them to visit Rajasthan with the warm greeting, ‘Padhaaro Mhare Desh’. He discussed the possibility of setting up similar advanced educational institutions in Rajasthan.

CM Sharma emphasized his government’s commitment to providing quality, innovative, practical, and employment-oriented education in Rajasthan. He highlighted the importance of skill development and mentioned that the government is organizing training programs to improve employment opportunities for the youth.

Meetings and Investment Summit

During his visit, CM Sharma is scheduled to hold various meetings in South Korea. He is in South Korea to invite investors for the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, which will be held in Jaipur from December 9-11.

On Monday, CM Sharma led a high-level delegation at an investors’ meet in Seoul, inviting the business community to explore investment opportunities in Rajasthan. He outlined his government’s agenda to double the state’s economy from USD 180 billion to USD 350 billion in the next five years and assured investors of improved business processes and policies.

CM Sharma encouraged South Korean startups, innovators, and business leaders to invest in Rajasthan, aiming to build a strong, long-term partnership. He announced upcoming policies to enhance the business-friendly climate in the state, including new Industrial, Export Promotion, MSME, and One District, One Product (ODOP) policies.

One-on-One Meetings with South Korean Companies

Besides the investors’ meet, CM Sharma held one-on-one meetings with senior officials from several major South Korean companies, including POSCO International, SG Corporation, GS E&C, Hanwha Solution, and Jeonbuk Creative Economy Innovation Centre (JCCEI). Several investors expressed interest in investing in Rajasthan.

‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024

The ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024 will be hosted in Jaipur from December 9-11. The summit aims to attract global investment, innovation, and partnerships in the state. It is organized with the support of the Industry and Commerce Department, Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP), and RIICO, with BIP serving as the nodal department.

Special plenary sessions will be organized on various focus sectors, including Agriculture, Renewable Energy, Education and Skilling, Auto and EV, Infrastructure, Chemical and Petro-chemical, Tourism, Startups, Mining, and ESDM/IT and ITeS.
