The Telangana Excise Enforcement team arrested a woman named Neha Bai for allegedly selling marijuana hidden in turmeric packets in Hyderabad. The officials seized 10 packets of the narcotics. The operation was led by Excise Enforcement Deputy Superintendent of Police Tirupati Yadav and Sub-Inspector of Police Nagaraj. Enforcement Director VB Kamalasan Reddy praised the team for their efforts.

In a similar incident, the Delhi Crime Branch seized over one quintal of marijuana and arrested two members of an interstate drug trafficking gang near Narela. The suspects, Sahab Singh and Pradeep Kumar, were transporting the drugs from Odisha to Delhi in a hidden truck cavity. The case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, and further investigations are ongoing.
