India Sends Food Aid to Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi to Help with Food Security
India has sent food assistance to Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi to help with food security and nutrition needs. A shipment of 1000MT rice was sent to Zimbabwe, 1300MT maize to Zambia, and 1000MT rice to Malawi. The aid aims to address food shortages and the impact of severe drought caused by the El Nino phenomenon.
Prime Minister Kassim Majaliwa of Tanzania also highlighted the severe impact of El Nino, which has caused flooding and landslides in the country.
