Ravi Gandhi Leads Meeting on Indo-Bangladesh Border Safety

A meeting led by Ravi Gandhi, ADG of BSF (Eastern Command), was held to monitor the Indo-Bangladesh border situation. The meeting was attended by members from the Land Port Authority of India (LPAI) and discussed the progress of communications with Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and the safety of minority communities in Bangladesh.

Since August 12, 2024, both border guarding forces have conducted 722 border meetings and 1367 coordinated patrols in vulnerable areas. BGB has assured to prevent illegal infiltration and ensure the safety of Indian citizens and minority communities in Bangladesh.

BSF has also held 614 village coordination meetings to inform Indian villagers about the situation and seek their cooperation in border management. The border remains peaceful with ongoing cooperation between BSF and BGB, and BSF personnel are working round-the-clock to guard the international border.
