415 Bottles of Illegal Liquor Seized at Shamshabad Airport in Hyderabad
In a major crackdown on liquor smuggling, the Telangana prohibition and excise department seized 415 bottles of non-duty paid liquor (NDPL) at Shamshabad airport. The liquor, valued at Rs 12 lakh, was being transported from Goa to Hyderabad via air cargo. Twelve individuals involved in the transportation have been booked.
According to an excise department official, the seized bottles contained 352.68 litres of liquor. The raid was conducted by a joint team of excise enforcement officials, including director VB Kamalasan Reddy, DC Rangareddy Dasarath, AC R Kishan, AE S Jeevan Kiran, two enforcement teams, and the Shamshabad DTF excise police team.
