BJP Leader Dilip Ghosh Accuses West Bengal Government of Obstructing Doctor’s Murder Case Investigation

BJP leader Dilip Ghosh claimed that the West Bengal government is trying to obstruct the investigation into the rape and murder of a Kolkata woman doctor. He accused the state of attempting to save the accused and destroy evidence. Ghosh stated, ‘The state government tried to create confusion among the public and destroy the evidence… The state government is still trying to obstruct the enquiry and save the accused.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the National Conference of District Judiciary, highlighted the need for stricter laws for women’s safety. Many strict laws have been made in the country for the safety of women, but we need to make it more active.’

The brutal rape and murder of the trainee doctor has led to widespread protests in West Bengal and other parts of India. Doctors have been holding protests demanding justice for the victim and better security laws for healthcare professionals. The case has been transferred to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) following an order from the Calcutta High Court.
