Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the donors who generously contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. These contributions are aimed at supporting the people severely affected by the unprecedented floods and continuous rainfall in the state.

On social media platform X, the CM posted, “Overwhelmed with gratitude! The following donors have generously contributed to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support those affected by the floods in Tripura:”>

Earlier, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu sanctioned Rs 5 crore from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for immediate assistance to the people in Tripura. He expressed solidarity with the people of Tripura during this challenging time.

Impact of the Floods

Since August 19, continuous rainfall and unprecedented floods have resulted in the loss of 31 lives and displaced over 72,000 people. According to the State Relief, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management Department, 492 relief camps have been set up to provide shelter to the displaced. Clothing has also been distributed to about 300 needy people in the Amarpur and Karbook sub-divisions.
