279 Candidates File Nominations for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024
A total of 279 candidates have filed their nomination papers across 24 Assembly Constituencies in seven districts of Jammu and Kashmir for the first phase of the Assembly Elections 2024. The elections are scheduled to be held on September 18, 2024.

More than 23.27 lakh voters, including 5.66 lakh youths, are eligible to vote in Phase-I. This includes 11.76 lakh male voters, 11.51 lakh female voters, and 60 Third Gender Electors.
Election Schedule
The nomination process closed on August 27, 2024, and the scrutiny will take place on August 28, 2024. Candidates can withdraw their nominations by August 30, 2024. The elections will be held in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1, with votes counted on October 4, 2024.
