BJP Announces Candidates for Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Elections

The Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its third list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The elections will be held in three phases on September 18, 25, and October 1. The third list includes candidates for the second and third phases of the elections.

This is the first assembly poll since the abrogation of Article 370. The votes will be counted on October 4. In the Lok Sabha elections held earlier this year, the BJP won both seats in Jammu, showing its strong support in the region. The National Conference also won two seats.

Article 370 -: Article 370 was a special law that gave Jammu and Kashmir more autonomy than other states. It was removed in 2019.
