Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav extended greetings on Shri Krishna Janmashtami and performed ‘Gau-Seva’ at a cow-shed inside his residence in Bhopal. He expressed his wishes for joy and prosperity for everyone on this auspicious occasion.

CM Yadav stated, “On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, I extend my greetings to the people of the entire state and the countrymen. May this Janmashtami bring only joy to all of us in life. The entire life of Lord Krishna is exemplary for us. Don’t be afraid of anyone in life, always follow the path of religion, be brave and be kind.”

He also wrote on X, “Greetings to everyone on the holy festival of devotion and joy, Shri Krishna Janmashtami. I pray that may the blessings of Lord Krishna remain upon everyone and a gradual increase in happiness and prosperity in everyone’s life.”

On Sunday, CM Yadav announced that the Madhya Pradesh government will develop religious places associated with Lord Krishna as pilgrimage sites. He mentioned Amjhera in the Dhar district, where Lord Krishna had a historic battle with Rukmini’s brother Rukmi, as one of the sites to be developed.

Additionally, Yadav highlighted the government’s efforts in operating Gaushalas and promoting animal husbandry and milk production. He announced plans to introduce a bonus on milk production in the coming days.

Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated across the country with fasting, temple decorations, and festivities, especially in Mathura and Vrindavan, where Lord Krishna spent his youth and childhood. According to the Hindu calendar, Lord Krishna was born on the eighth day of the month of Bhadra, which usually falls in August or September.
