Agartala (Tripura) [India], August 24: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha expressed gratitude to the central government on Friday for their support as the state deals with severe flooding. In a post on X, CM Saha thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and the central government for their prompt action and unwavering commitment during this challenging time.

According to officials, the central government swiftly responded to the devastating floods in Tripura with significant assistance. Chief Minister Manik Saha has been closely coordinating relief efforts, maintaining constant communication with Union authorities to ensure effective crisis management.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah coordinated the relief efforts, facilitated mobilizing resources, and has been constantly monitoring the situation along with the state administration. The Centre has sanctioned Rs 40 crore for the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) to expedite relief work. Additionally, 11 teams of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), three Indian Army columns, and four helicopters of the Indian Air Force have been deployed to provide critical assistance in rescue and relief operations in the state.
