Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav recently paid tribute to his idol, the late Shane Warne, with a heartfelt message on Instagram. Kuldeep wrote, “Bowling Shane…. Always & Forever.”

Initially, Kuldeep started his career as a pacer, idolizing Pakistan’s Wasim Akram. However, he switched to spin bowling on his coach’s advice to emulate Australia’s legendary spinner Shane Warne. Kuldeep often seeks inspiration from Warne’s old videos and cherished the advice and friendship he received from him.

In an earlier interview, Kuldeep shared, “If there is any doubt with how I am bowling, I look at his old action. I feel I am very lucky to have spent some time with him and to have been his good friend.”

Kuldeep has played 12 Test matches for India, taking 53 wickets, with his best figures being 5/40. He made his Test debut against Australia in Dharamsala, impressing with 4 wickets for 68 runs in the first innings.

Looking ahead, Kuldeep is preparing for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, starting on November 22 at Optus Stadium in Perth. The series will continue with matches in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney. India aims to secure a historic third consecutive series win in Australia, having won the last two series in 2018-19 and 2020-21.
