Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar to Inaugurate 19th CII India Africa Business Conclave in New Delhi

New Delhi [India], August 20: Jagdeep Dhankhar, Vice President of the Republic of India, will inaugurate the 19th CII India Africa Business Conclave, themed ‘Creating One Future,’ on August 21. The conclave will be held from August 20 to 22 in New Delhi.

Organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in partnership with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, the event aims to strengthen India-Africa relations. Six African Heads of State, including Vice Presidents from Burundi, Equatorial Guinea, The Gambia, Liberia, Mauritius, and Zimbabwe, will attend.

Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, will address a special plenary session with African trade ministers to explore new economic cooperation pathways. The event will welcome over 1,100 international delegates from 65 countries, including 47 African nations, and 52 senior African ministers.

The Conclave will explore partnerships in trade, investment, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and technology. An exhibition will feature 56 exhibitors from India and Africa, and over 600 B2B meetings will be held. Discussions will focus on the digital economy, innovation, technology transfer, infrastructure development, food security, energy security, and healthcare advancements.

The event promises to set the stage for future collaborations, driving growth and development across both regions.
