Tragic Accident in Delhi: AC Unit Falls, Killing 18-Year-Old Jitesh
New Delhi [India], August 18: An 18-year-old boy named Jitesh died after an outdoor unit of an air conditioner fell on him while he was standing on the road with his friend Pranshu in the Karol Bagh area of Delhi on Saturday.
According to the police, the incident occurred around 7 PM under Desh Bandhu Gupta police station limits. The outdoor unit fell from the second floor as the two boys were having a conversation.
Following the incident, the injured boys were taken to a nearby hospital. Jitesh, a resident of Doriwalan, Delhi, was declared brought dead, while Pranshu, a 17-year-old resident of Patel Nagar, Delhi, was admitted to the hospital.
A case has been registered under relevant sections, and the forensic team has examined the scene. Further investigation into the matter is underway. CCTV footage of the incident, showing both friends hugging each other before the unit fell, has surfaced on social media.
