New Delhi, August 15: In his 78th Independence Day speech from the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his futuristic goals for India’s growth during its Amrit Kaal. He emphasized leveraging India’s rich ancient legacy to create Made in India gaming products and urged Indian professionals to lead the global gaming market. The gaming industry in India is booming, with games based on Indian mythology and the country’s Esports landscape making significant strides.

PM Modi also highlighted India’s commitment to becoming a global leader in semiconductor production, aiming to reduce dependency on imports. Currently, four semiconductor plants are under construction in Gujarat and Assam. Semiconductors are crucial for modern electronic devices, and India aims to enhance its technological self-sufficiency.

The Prime Minister envisioned transforming India into a global manufacturing hub by leveraging its resources and skilled workforce. He called for state governments to establish clear policies to attract investments and ensure good governance. PM Modi introduced the idea of ‘Design in India, Design for the World,’ urging citizens to create products for both domestic and international markets.

Emphasizing green jobs, PM Modi reiterated India’s commitment to combating climate change. He highlighted the country’s focus on green growth and green jobs, aiming to become a global leader in green hydrogen production. India has committed to ambitious climate goals, including reaching 500 GW of non-fossil electricity capacity and achieving net-zero emissions by 2070.

In the field of medical education, PM Modi announced plans to add 75,000 new medical seats in the next five years to address the growing demand for healthcare professionals. He also called for inducting one lakh youth into the political system to fight nepotism and casteism.

Finally, PM Modi sought to revive the ancient Nalanda University spirit, positioning India as a global education hub by promoting higher learning and research.
