BSF and CRPF Celebrate ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ with Rallies in West Bengal, Srinagar, and Telangana

The Border Security Force (BSF) and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ events in Krishnanagar, Srinagar, and Hyderabad ahead of India’s 78th Independence Day.

In Krishnanagar, West Bengal, the BSF held a bike rally. BSF DIG Sanjay Kumar said, “We want every citizen to feel proud of their country and hoist the national flag on their house. We are distributing flags to everyone and sending out a message of unity in diversity to our neighbouring countries.”

CRPF’s Walkathon in Srinagar

In Srinagar, the CRPF organized a walkathon. CRPF IG Ajay Kumar Yadav stated, “The motive of this ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally is to invoke a sense of respect for the Tiranga among people and give them a message. We are very happy to organize this.”

In Hyderabad, Telangana, the CRPF organized a rally from Parade Ground in Chandrayan Gutta to Charminar.

Prime Minister’s Call to Action

Prime Minister Modi, in his 112th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on July 28, called upon all Indians to take part in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign to celebrate Independence Day. The third edition of the campaign is being celebrated from August 9th to 15th as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

About ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’

‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is a campaign that forms part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It was started in 2021 to encourage people to bring the Tiranga home and to hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
