A five-member Indian committee is working with Bangladesh to monitor the border situation. They have held 83 flag meetings and 241 patrols in three days. The committee, led by Ravi Gandhi of the Border Security Force (BSF), aims to ensure the safety of Indian citizens and minorities in Bangladesh.

The Indian government formed this committee on August 9 to maintain communication with Bangladesh authorities. The committee includes high-ranking officials from the BSF and the Land Ports Authority of India (LPAI).

Both the BSF and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) are collaborating closely. They have held numerous meetings and patrols to keep the border secure. On August 9, the BGB worked with local authorities to manage a gathering of 1,500 Bangladeshi nationals near the border.

The BSF has also conducted 232 meetings with Indian villagers near the border to inform them about the situation and seek their cooperation. The BSF and BGB are committed to sharing real-time information and addressing any security issues that arise.
